Job Description
S:US is seeking a licensed Social Worker for their families with children shelter located in Brooklyn. The Social Worker will provide psychosocial assessments, link families to community based services, and work within a crisis driven environment.
Requirements
- Masters in Social Work or equivalent
- Current licensure ‐ LMSW or LMHC
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development; emotional/behavioral health; mental health; parent‐child relationships family dynamics; and diagnostic classification
- Strong expertise in strengths‐based, solution‐focused, and family‐centered practice
- Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to child welfare, safety, permanency and well‐being
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‐disciplinary team, to assist individuals of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences
