Job Description
S:US is seeking a Data Engineer for their Information Technology (IT) division. This position is located in New York, NY, and is responsible for building and maintaining a governed, analytics-ready data environment within Microsoft Fabric.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data engineering tasks.
- Proven experience with metadata collection and management.
- Experience building scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience developing semantic models for analytics and reporting.
- Experience supporting Power BI report development and optimization.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture and components.
- Familiarity with data governance principles including quality, lineage, and stewardship.
- Hands-on experience with data modeling (star and snowflake schemas).
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
