Job Description
The Inpatient Registered Nurse directs and provides professional nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care.
Requirements
- Assessment: Completes a thorough assessment of patients as well as surgical specific assessment based on need and utilizes critical thinking skills to direct appropriate care and treatments.
- Planning: Initiates, develops, and documents the patient plan of care based on patient assessment and surgical diagnosis/procedure.
- Implementation: Provides safe and comprehensive nursing care according to state regulations, hospital policy and procedure and Joint Commission standards.
- Professional Requirements: Model professional behavior in accordance with the OLSH and Second Floor Codes of Conduct and Standards of Performance.
