Overhead Crew - All Positions (Foreman/A, B , C Lineman/Operator/Groundman

Sumter Utilities, Inc. seeks entire Overhead Crews (Foreman/A Lineman/B Lineman/C Lineman/Operator/Groundman) for competitive wages, paid vacation, and holidays, a full benefit package, and a 401k Retirement Savings Plan. Successful candidates will possess existing experience working together as a construction crew, with a focus on safety.

Requirements

• Able to travel long distances on short notice
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations
• Able to work overtime
• Have total commitment to safety and compliance
• Possess a valid Class A CDL
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and scopes of work
• Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate teamwork skills, and follow directions
• Ability to work at heights up to and above 60 feet
• Ability to properly install and remove PPE and cover up
• Ability to work alone on de-energized lines
• Ability to assist with inspecting and recognizing structural problems
• Ability to work productively from an aerial device
• Ability to assist in troubleshooting
• Ability to function within a Team environment and share knowledge with fellow crew members
• Ability to properly inspect rubber goods, covers, and PPE
• Ability to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so
