STUDENT-FWS -Ithaca Montessori School

Ithaca Montessori School (IMS) is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Guide to support children in activities promoting social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth based on Montessori philosophy. The role requires patience, respect, and a commitment to fostering a safe and stimulating learning environment. Responsibilities include daily classroom maintenance, support, observation, and assisting the Lead Guide.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1+ year of experience working with children (under 13 years old)
• Educational background in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field (preferred)
• Meets school/state health requirements (TB tests, immunizations, physical)
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to squat, stand, and sit for 2 hours or more at a time
• CPR/First Aid Training
