OAOA Summer Bridge Peer Mentor

The OAOA Summer Bridge Peer Mentorship program recruits student paraprofessionals (Peer Mentors) to support pre-first-year students in the transition to college life. They will provide academic, social, and personal assistance, monitor student development, and serve as a positive role model. Peer Mentors will live in residence hall with students and act as on-call personnel during each SB. The program fosters academic success and facilitates the transition from high school to college.

Requirements

• Resident in the residence hall with pre-first year students.
• Educate students on residence hall policies and procedures.
• Educate students on policies related to drug and alcohol use, Ithaca community standards.
• Monitor academic, social and professional/personal development of students.
