Melt Shop Shift Electrician

Perform all operations required to install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, test, service, and program highly complex equipment in support of steel production operation and related plant facilities.

Requirements

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems
• Work with shift operation supervision to advise equipment down time as required
• Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications
• Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital multi-voltmeter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment
• Able to understand and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed
