Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to develop enterprise-grade data platforms and pipelines. The role requires a technologist with excellent communication and customer service skills and a passion for data and problem-solving, collaborating with the team and clients. This is a position requiring more than just 'Data Engineer', but a technologist with expertise in Python and AWS.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
- Master's Degree in a related field (or Bachelor's + 5 years experience), or 9 years of experience
- 2-4 years of industry experience coding commercial software and Python
- Experience with Big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.), SQL, and NoSQL databases
- Experience with data pipelines and workflow management tools (Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.)
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with data streaming systems (Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc.)
- Advanced working SQL knowledge
