Claims Adjuster - Accident & Health

Starr Insurance Companies is seeking a Claims Adjuster - Accident & Health to assess and evaluate the recoverability of claims on policies underwritten by the Company. The role involves handling claims, managing electronic claim files, and producing accurate large loss forms. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant claims experience and knowledge of the specific line of business.

Requirements

• Assess and evaluate the recoverability of all Accident & Health and Travel claims
• Handle claims in line with Starr and Lloyd’s Minimum Standards
• Process Electronic Claim Files (ECF) and Settle Direct claims via DOCOsoft
• Manage claims outcomes and report to Claims Manager and/or Senior Claims Adjuster
• Produce timely and accurate large loss forms
• Attend client meetings and provide specific claims handling expertise or relationship management
• Review and approve claims in excess of delegated authority
• Proactively manage DOCOsoft workflow and claims recording
• Pursue recovery of loss funds on prior years where appropriate
• Assist CST to clear claims errors/warnings for SCMs and USMs
• Monitor and manage ECF/Lirma incompletes
• Produce ad-hoc claims reports and statistical support
