Job Description
Design Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and validating SMP's GDI fuel injector product line.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in fuel injector design, with at least 2 years in GDI
- Strong knowledge of injector internal geometry, spray pattern control, and fuel system requirements
- Experience with validation test planning, execution, and correlation to OEM requirements
- Familiarity with DFMEA, APQP, and PPAP processes
- Proficiency in CAD (Creo preferred) and tolerance analysis
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across engineering and manufacturing teams
