The RN position involves providing nursing care to patients in accordance with the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, using the Nursing Process. This is a 7:00 am - 7:00 pm night shift position, requiring collaboration with other departments and coverage during low census periods.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
- Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Course (within one year of hire)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) (preferred)
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (preferred)
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery
- Basic Understanding of Trauma Nursing Principles
