Control Room Operator - Fitchburg, MA

NE Renewable Power is hiring a Control Room Operator for the Fitchburg, MA location. The Control Room Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the power plant, including monitoring and documentation of process variables, operating the PLC-based control system, and performing corrective action when necessary.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Power Plant operations and/or maintenance experience
• Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineer License
• 1 or 2 years related experience and/or training in similar position
• Knowledge of combustion conditions, gas burner and boiler and turbine generator operations, and water treatment
• Basic computer skills, including data entry
• Basic math skills
• Good verbal communications skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to work in high temperatures and extreme conditions
