Job Description
Spire is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Sat OS team, developing software for the spacecraft's high-level operating system. This role involves contributing to the expansion and enhancement of the space-based payload execution and data collection capabilities, with a focus on low-cost, fast-paced systems design and implementation. The company aims to become a global leader in space-to-cloud analytics.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in professional software development
- Proven experience in production-grade software development using at least one compiled language
- Proficiency in Python or equivalent high-level language
- Knowledge of Linux-based development
- Experience with inter-process communication protocols (such as gRPC)
- Ability to communicate effectively with embedded software engineers
- Excellent documentation skills
- Good customer relations skills
