Job Description
Spectrum Security Services is seeking a Detention Officer (DO) to provide security and support services for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role involves supervising alien detainees under the jurisdiction of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), requiring on-call availability, and handling challenging shifts. The position requires a clean criminal record and passing a medical exam.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a correctional officer, jailer, or detention office
- Experience with detention activities, such as detaining civil or administrative detainees
- Ability to work on-call, accept sporadic assignments
- Availability to work on-shift, swing, or graveyard shifts
- Pass a medical examination and be free of physical limitations
- Valid security certifications (First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens)
- Registered as an Armed Security Guard with BSIS
