Financial Controller (Remote or Hybrid)

SolAmerica Energy is revolutionizing the energy landscape by developing, building, owning, and operating distributed generation (DG) solar projects and energy storage solutions. They are seeking a meticulous and experienced Controller to manage financial operations for their renewable solar energy company, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role requires a strong background in distributed generation and solar energy projects.

Requirements

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, payroll)
• Manage month-end closing and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Manage grant funding, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Manage project costs and revenue recognition
• Manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting
• Develop and enforce internal controls
• Manage team (accounting team, mentorship)
• Develop and enforce internal controls
• Manage communication and stakeholder engagement
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and ERP systems
• Experience with multi-location, multi-entity operations
