Job Description
Join Sokin as our Data Protection Officer (DPO) to lead our global privacy and data protection strategy. This role will provide you the opportunity to scale a privacy-first programme for a rapidly growing global fintech in the payments space and shape the company’s regulatory strategy as we innovate and expand.
Requirements
- 3+ years leading a global privacy function within a fintech, payments, or other regulated financial services with experience working with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Deep understanding of UK/EU GDPR, international data transfer mechanisms, and emerging global privacy frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with global, distributed teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to balance commercial pragmatism with regulatory rigour.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.
- Relevant privacy certifications (e.g. CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) are highly desirable.
