Senior Electrical Engineer

Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent degree as recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
• 15+ years of related work experience in electrical engineering and power systems design in the nuclear industry
• Experience with medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems
• Experience with modelling electrical power systems and use of analysis functions in ETAP or other similar software program
• Experience with transformer sizing, cable sizing, circuit breaker sizing calculations
• Familiarity with specifying and procurement support for electrical equipment such as Transformers, MCCs, low voltage distribution load centres, UPS systems, and Diesel Generators
• Good knowledge and experience of CANDU nuclear electrical power systems
• Good working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, such as CSA 22.1, Canadian Electrical Code Part I and The Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
