Garden Team Member

The Garden Team Member assists the Garden Department Coordinator in the development and implementation of a state-of-the-art Garden Department. The role involves assisting customers, receiving products, and maintaining a clean and organized store. This is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible scheduling, including weekends.

Requirements

• Faces racks and rotates plants
• Waters plants on a daily basis
• Daily restocking of floral, house plants, hard goods, and seasonal products
• Ensures the Garden Department is swept and clean
• Keeps plants looking healthy including deadheading and pruning
• Pulls and disposes of plants that are no longer viable
• Assists with outdoor and indoor displays including restocking and cleaning
• Assists with periodic inventory
• Assists with periodic ordering
• Assists with organization and rotation in storage of products
• Receives products in accordance with policy as assigned by supervisor
• Assists customers in deepening their knowledge of plants and garden-related products
• Provides product information to cashiers and other employees as needed
• Communicates concerns and ideas to coordinator
• Other tasks as assigned
