As a Junior Scientist AI, you will push the boundaries of resilient and trustworthy AI in applied research projects, collaborating with industrial and scientific partners and colleagues across SAL units. You will support applied research and development, conduct research, and present results to colleagues and at conferences.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Physics or a related field.
• Proven knowledge and experience in machine learning, including classical methods such as SVMs and decision trees, as well as deep learning methods such as LSTMs, CNNs and transformers.
• Good programming skills in Python, experience with code management tools such as Git (GitLab), familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, experience of applying statistical techniques to analyse data, detect outliers and select and sample datasets.
• Good communication, presentation and academic writing skills, proficiency in English is essential, and proficiency in German would be advantageous.
