VDI Engineer

ShyftLabs is seeking a VDI Engineer to manage Citrix environments, identify inefficiencies, and support the VDI environment end-to-end. The role involves proactively working on solutions and optimization, identifying gaps and issues, and providing solutions to level 1 and 2 issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years overall IT experience
• 4+ years managing a Citrix virtual desktop environment, VDI solutions
• Large enterprise experience in various virtualization technologies like PaaS, DaaS, and IaaS
• Experience in DaaS, On-Prem Infra management for Citrix virtual apps and desktops
• Experience with Citrix ADC/NetScaler
• Experience with Citrix Workspace and Storefront
• Experience with Citrix MCS and PVS
• Experience with virtual machine management and UPM, and FSLogix
• Knowledge of Windows 2016/2019/2022 server
• Enterprise-level Active Directory and Group Policy design and implementations
• Extensive knowledge of network technologies at each layer of the OSI Model, and related tools
• Ability to write scripts to improve performance, resolve issues, and automate processes via PowerShell or similar.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Service Now, and strict Change Management processes
