Job Description
Our client, in the construction industry, seeks a Safety Officer to join their team, responsible for ensuring compliance with Tanzanian occupational health and safety laws and the company's HSE policies, at various project sites across Dar Es Salaam and Pwani regions.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Valid OSHA Certificate of Competence (Occupational Safety and Health Officer Course Levels I & II) issued by OSHA Tanzania.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Safety Officer on notable construction projects in Tanzania.
- Good knowledge of Tanzanian labour, environmental, and safety laws.
- Familiar with international standards such as ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).
- Strong leadership, reporting, and communication skills in both English and Swahili.
