Job Description
Sherwood Autism Center is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities. The role involves assisting with lesson plans, data collection, IEP development, and parent communication. It’s a fulfilling experience within a nonprofit focused on providing high-quality services.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- US work authorization
- Bachelor’s degree (in progress) in Special Education or related area
- Hold a Substitute Teaching Certificate or Temporary Authorization Certificate in Special Education
- Be eligible to obtain a Substitute Teaching Certificate or Temporary Authorization Certificate in Special Education
- Successful completion of POET Physical Assessment
