Job Description
SES Space & Defense is seeking a Satellite Operations Center Technician to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 satellite and network operations support. The Technician will monitor network and satellite space segment performance, troubleshoot VSAT systems, and resolve customer issues related to broadband IP communication via satellite transmission.
Requirements
- Continuously monitor network and satellite space segment performance
- Remotely troubleshoot VSAT systems via iDirect software
- Resolve customer issues related to broadband IP communication via satellite transmission
- Monitor iDirect TDMA equipment configurations and network performance
- Analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software problems
- Monitor and test satellite network performance
- Assist in network design and capacity planning
- Isolate and correct network faults using network management tools
- Manage service restoration activities and track/update trouble ticketing system
