The Manufacturing Engineer Intern contributes to medical-device development by supporting design work, performing tests, conducting research, and collecting data, working under the guidance of engineering staff.
Requirements
- Assist in developing mechanical designs, components, and early-stage product concepts for new medical devices.
- Perform basic engineering calculations, layouts, and feasibility checks to support design decisions.
- Help prepare test setups and ensure proper execution of R&D test protocols.
- Work with CAD Technicians and engineers to create or modify 3D models and engineering drawings.
- Assist with early-stage manufacturing engineering support activities.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams in both formal and informal settings.
- High School diploma
- Student currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering Program.
- Technical Curiosity
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) preferred but not required.
