Trade Supervisor, Pipe Weld (Afternoon Shift)

The Trade Supervisor will lead their team, ensuring project completion efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. This on-site position, reporting to an Area Manager, requires significant interaction with trade management, offering excellent opportunities for career advancement. The role is essential for maintaining quality and safety throughout the shipbuilding process.

Requirements

• Red Seal certified Welder
• Minimum 5 years of related trades work experience
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment, preferably unionized
• Dedication to safety and quality
• Proficient knowledge of heavy manufacturing/shipbuilding (welding, metal fabrication, electrical, pipefitting, paint/sandblasting, mechanical, rigging, etc.)
• Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
• Time management and organization skills
• Ability to empower others, lead change, and resolve conflicts
• Ability to build effective working relationships
• Proficiency with MS Office products and web-based applications
