Requirements
- Red Seal certified Welder
- Minimum 5 years of related trades work experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment, preferably unionized
- Dedication to safety and quality
- Proficient knowledge of heavy manufacturing/shipbuilding (welding, metal fabrication, electrical, pipefitting, paint/sandblasting, mechanical, rigging, etc.)
- Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Time management and organization skills
- Ability to empower others, lead change, and resolve conflicts
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Proficiency with MS Office products and web-based applications
