Indigenous Science Education Intern (SHI) - Summer 2026

The Indigenous Science Education Intern will support office-based coordination tasks, collaborate with SHI education staff, and lead cultural activities for children. They will also help facilitate courses and workshops at the Indigenous Science Building.

Requirements

• Interest in education and learning
• Desire to work with children of various ages
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Self-starter who is flexible and can adjust to fast moving schedules
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
