Accounting Advisory Manager

Grant Thornton is seeking an Accounting Advisory Manager to lead teams focused on complex accounting transactions for clients. This role involves advising clients on accounting standards, audits, and financial reporting, and managing engagements from client site to remote. The ideal candidate will be a proactive advisor with strong analytical and communication skills. They will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related disciplines; Master’s degree a plus
• Minimum 5 years of experience in providing financial statement audits, accounting advisory services, or corporate accounting/finance center of excellence focusing on complex accounting transactions
• Active CPA license
• Working knowledge in accounting standards including ASC 606 and/or ASC 842, Complex debt, equity, and employee compensation topics, Audit readiness support, IPO process or other capital transactions such as debt offerings or private placements, Organizational restructuring including acquisitions, carve-outs, or spin-offs and post-deal accounting, GAAP conversations, Financial instruments
• Analytical and technical skills including proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting rules and standards, accounting transactions, or mergers and acquisition services
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities

• Skilled at leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%)
