Job Description
The Port of Spain New Embassy Compound project involves constructing a New Office Building (NOB), Supporting Annex (SPX), Main, Consular, and Service Compound Access Control (CAC) buildings on a 11.1-acre lot. The project architect will provide architectural and construction quality assurance to the Port of Spain NEC, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of design codes and construction safety regulations.
Requirements
- Architecture degree (Bachelor’s or above) from an accredited program
- Minimum of seven years of experience on construction projects
- Final Secret, Interim Top Secret, or final Top Secret security clearance (Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) or equivalent)
- Knowledge of International Codes
- Experience in assessing and responding to RFIs
- Experience in reviewing and evaluating design calculations
- Knowledge of Construction Safety regulations (e.g., EM 385-1-1, OSHA)
- Microsoft Suite proficiency
