Job Description
Schrödinger is seeking a Software Engineer to join the LiveDesign team, a group focused on developing a Web application that leverages Schrödinger’s software platform. The role involves collaborative development, design, building, and testing of high-performance, distributed components, contributing to a rich web application for researchers and collaboration on therapeutics and materials.
Requirements
- Experience with most of these:
- Source control (GIT, SVN, etc)
- Linux operating system
- Writing software that communicates directly with 3rd party software
- High performance Scalable / Redundant / High volume systems
- Microservices architecture
- Experience with the following is a plus:
- Building a system that operated on more than ten machines
- Large scale distributed computing (Kafka, Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark)
- Kubernetes or similar container orchestration tools
- Log processing and data analysis
- Performance testing frameworks (i.e. Selenium, Locust)
