Dir Surgical Services

The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the operations and staff of the Surgical Services Department, Anesthesia, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and Central Sterile. The employee will participate in business development activities and provide overall direction and management of perioperative services.

Requirements

• Evaluate and support the Perioperative performance improvement program
• Assume responsibility for the consultative development and implementation of programs and clinical initiatives
• Provide on-site consultative services as needed
• Identify and assist to implement supply savings and standardization opportunities
• Provides coaching, mentoring, support and consultation to hospital managers, colleagues, and staff
• Work collaboratively with others to facilitate and improve surgery programs quality of service
• Assist with strategic planning, market analysis, business development, growth and quality improvement plans
• Develop collaborative relationships with corporate and hospital personnel, staff and physicians
• Research and develop evidence-based practice standards, best practice criteria and outcomes metrics
• Provide consultation and education on AORN Guidelines and Regulatory Requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
