A Motor Winding Technician is responsible for rewinding AC & DC electric motors and generators, ranging from small 230/460 volt motors up to 2000hp medium voltage motors. Duties include stripping, taking data, insulating, making coils, and general winding processes.
Requirements
- Perform the activities of Stator press, straightening, winding, varnishing, install lead wire, motor assembly, and dismantle ESP equipment (Motor/Stator) and testing.
- Perform tasks of substantial variety or complexity which requires a masterly knowledge of winding and assembly techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
- Keep accurate and organized all the documentation involved in the development of plant operations and satellite workshops.
- Operate and properly repair the downhole and surface equipment and be able to solve problems on site.
- Make cleaning job in the workshop areas.
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Help develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
- Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Perform other duties assigned by line manager.
