We're looking for a Senior Developer to build enterprise cloud infrastructure that provides European data sovereignty and hyperscaler-grade capabilities. You'll work on SAP Cloud Infrastructure, solving complex distributed systems challenges at scale. You'll develop solutions using Go, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies, tackling problems like autoscaling thousands of workloads across clusters, building resilient control planes and service meshes, and designing APIs that handle massive traffic spikes.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing in Go or Python
- Hands-on experience operating and developing for Kubernetes in production
- Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD/CKS and experience building Kubernetes operators/controllers are strong pluses)
- OpenStack development/operations background
- Familiarity with the broader CNCF landscape (Helm, Prometheus, Flux, Istio, etc.)
- Linux fundamentals and container networking
- Familiarity with at least one of the multiple major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Expertise in Git workflows, end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development and code reviews
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proven adaptability and a strong focus on continuous learning, especially in distributed systems
- Excellent communication abilities and extensive experience leading agile development teams
- Strong enthusiasm for contributing to open-source projects
- Awareness of industry standards related to security and compliance
- Experience working across cultures and languages with strong communication skills
- Excellent presentation, communication and problem-solving skills
