Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is a key member of the San Francisco Symphony's Accounting Team and reports directly to the Assistant Controller. This position plays a critical role in the monthly close of the financial statements as well as annual audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is strongly required.
• Licensed Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required; equivalent experience also considered
• 3-5 years of experience with general ledger accounting
• Accounting experience in a non-profit organization preferred
• Familiarity with accounting software systems
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Committed to working with strict deadlines and dedicated to handling multiple assignments simultaneously
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and team-oriented
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
