Process Engineer

Samtec, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to evaluate existing manufacturing processes, improve sustainability, quality, and develop best practices. The role involves leading experiments, developing manufacturing best practices, using Six Sigma, and providing technical support to engineering and operations teams. The engineer will be responsible for data collection, analysis, and contributing to process improvement and design reviews.

Requirements

• Lead and execute experiments using DOE methodologies or other analytical methods.
• Develop standard manufacturing best practices and process windows.
• Use Six Sigma DMAIC to determine root cause and solutions.
• Develop process criteria for raw cable and process changes.
• Provide general guidance to other engineering teams.
• Collect and interpret data from technical staff.
• Perform engineering calculations applying physics and mathematics.
• Provide technical inputs for incident investigation.
• Develop/research new manufacturing methods.
• Programming, creating process documentation with procedures.
• Material tracking and data compilation for assembly processes.
• Guides and manages tooling for new products.
