Senior Hardware Systems Engineer

Samsara is seeking a Senior Hardware Electrical Systems Engineer to join their rapidly growing product line, driving the architecture and design of products based on thorough feasibility and cost studies. The role involves work with telemetry data, collaborating with Product Management, PD, FW, EPM, NPI, and Hardware leadership. The US and Taiwan EE teams are supported by internal and external resources and work closely with the Supply Chain team and labs. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 2 days in the San Francisco, CA office.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience shipping high volume hardware programs with ODM and JDM partners.
• Systems design expertise for chipset/SoC selection, power optimization, antennas/RF, batteries, etc.
• Proven record navigating tradeoffs between design, manufacturability, schedule, and cost.
• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience with certifications and testing involved with industrial and automotive settings.
