Job Description
Samaritan Daytop Village is seeking a Spanish Bilingual Substance Use Counselor to provide counseling and support to individuals with substance use disorder patients. The role involves case management, assessment, referrals, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This position is a crucial part of the health and human services agency, focused on expanding access to healthcare and community-based programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- OASAS CASAC-T or CASAC Certification.
- Minimum One-Two (1-2) years of related experience working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), preferably within an Opioid Treatment Program.
- Knowledge and/or training in Trauma Informed Care and various organizational treatment.
- Knowledge of and experience working with persons with co-occurring disorders.
- Knowledge of the laws regarding personnel and client information.
