Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (SBHH) is a new facility located near downtown Sacramento. As the first newly constructed psychiatric hospital in Northern California in more than 30 years, this hospital offers 117 inpatient acute psychiatric beds, an outpatient treatment center, and a procedures clinic providing electro-convulsive therapy (ECT) and other interventional psychiatry services. We offer a full range of individualized treatment services, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for mental health and co-occurring (mental health and substance abuse) disorders. Additional services include mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, crisis intervention, consultation, education, and individual and group counseling.
The Lead Mental Health Technician (MHW) provides direct patient care, supports therapeutic milieu, and ensures safety and well-being of patients. Carries out general nursing assistance and supervises the work of other MHWs. Must have a high school graduate or equivalent, and a behavioral science undergraduate degree required. 5+ years of experience as a behavioral health worker/technician in an inpatient and/or partial psychiatric/mental health setting.
