Job Description
RS&H is seeking a Field Engineer to join their Transportation-Construction Management team in the Tyler, TX area. This role will involve managing field inspection projects, preparing and submitting estimates, interpreting contracts, drafting engineering solutions, and overseeing contractors to ensure project construction meets plan and specification requirements. The position provides experience with highway design and traffic control plans in collaboration with contract owners and state departments of transportation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with major road or bridge construction
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
