Rocky Mountain Human Services is seeking a Housing Navigator to work with dual-enrolled veterans who are also enrolled in the HUD-VASH program. The Housing Navigator will provide financial assistance to enable Veteran families to obtain permanent housing and establish relationships with landlords.
Requirements
- Coordinate with the HUD-VASH team to facilitate the search, application and entry into permanent housing for HAV client households.
- Maintain minimum of two contacts per month with the HUD-VASH staff members and Veteran regarding permanent housing plan and progress.
- Provide and track financial assistance for housing applications, security deposits, emergency housing assistance, tenant incentives, and other services as allowed by the SSVF grant.
- Actively communicate with clients, caregivers, families, stakeholders, advocates and providers.
- Works with clients, families and appropriate community agencies as necessary to facilitate services for staff, stakeholders or clients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to evaluate individual needs and requires professional judgment within established policies and procedures.
- Ability to work cooperatively with administrative support staff to assure completion of necessary information.
- Ability to drive personal and company vehicle.
