Job Description
Rocketship Public Schools is seeking an English as a Second Language Specialist (EL/ESL) to support ESL students in fostering their learning in speaking, writing, reading, and listening. The role involves creating lesson plans, analyzing data, providing feedback to teachers and families, and ensuring a language-rich environment. The position reports to an Assistant Principal and is part of a team focused on transforming underserved communities.
Requirements
- Administer WIDA assessments to ESL students.
- Create progress monitoring tools for student progress.
- Ensure the school is language-rich through labeling.
- Participate in Unit Planning meetings.
- Report progress to families.
