Job Description
The Quality Inspector will conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, time/temperature-sensitive items, hardware, and in-process parts to ensure quality, appearance, and compliance with specifications and standards. The role involves packaging, shipping, and distributing articles after verifying the accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness, requiring strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of aerospace quality receiving experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Proficient in visual and dimensional inspections using hand tools (Calipers, Height Gauges)
- Skilled in interpreting mechanical/composite drawings, GD&T, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience with in-process, final, and receiving inspections
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Basic math and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Experience with aerospace composite parts fabrication
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing
- Experience with NADCAP and AS9100 Audits
