Job Description
Rising Edge Group is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to maintain, upgrade, and install electrical equipment within electrical substations ranging from 13.8kV to 500 kV. The role involves reading blueprints, ensuring compliance, mentoring Apprentices, and performing maintenance on electrical systems. Candidates should be safety-conscious and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements
- Valid and recognized Journeyman Electrician Certificate
- Thorough knowledge of Electrical Utility Code and Occupational Health and Safety rules
- Experience in High voltage and substations
- Valid Provincial Class 5 driver’s license
- Must meet Drug & Alcohol testing requirements
- Ability to work out of town
- Physical ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
