Senior Staff Front-End Engineer – Data Cloud

Rippling is looking for a Senior Staff Front-End Engineer to define and lead the technical direction of its Data Cloud ecosystem. The engineer will architect the rendering pipelines, interaction models, and performance systems that power data exploration for millions of users.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in front-end platform architecture, performance optimization, rendering, and large-scale data visualization.
• Proven experience building complex, enterprise-grade customer-facing UIs with broad surface area and high performance requirements.
• Hands-on experience solving performance challenges with large datasets (10k+ data points, high-frequency updates, virtualization techniques, etc.).
• Strong product instincts and the ability to make high-quality, independent technical decisions that influence entire orgs.
• Demonstrated leadership—uplifting teams, mentoring senior engineers, and operating as a force multiplier rather than a solo contributor.
• Track record leading major re-architecture efforts or platform transitions in fast-moving environments.
• Experience in analytics, visualization, or large-scale enterprise data products (e.g., Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks) is a strong plus.
