Job Description
The Hardware Clerk position involves maintaining outstanding guest service, processing sales, and supporting the store management team. The role requires a vast product knowledge of hardware related products, sales and marketing experience, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Possess a vast product knowledge of hardware related products along with a willingness to learn
- Sales and marketing experience with retail programs, establishing relationships and working with guests
- Previous experience in a retail environment either in marketing, sales, or back office or in the contractor/construction fields is preferred
- Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time. Able to lift 40 pounds frequently to load and unload guest orders
- Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth
