Job Description
Regent is seeking a Legal Counsel, M&A to lead legal workstreams across Europe. The role involves managing and executing acquisitions, coordinating due diligence and transaction documentation, and supporting integration efforts. The position reports to the Managing Partner, Europe, and works closely with investment professionals and portfolio leadership.
Requirements
- Law degree from a leading university and admission to practice in the UK or another major European jurisdiction.
- 4-7 years of experience in M&A at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at a private equity firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong foundation in cross-border M&A transactions, including carve-outs and complex deal structures.
- Familiarity with European corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and competition/antitrust considerations.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Collaborative and comfortable working across geographies and time zones.
