Refresco is a leading global independent beverage solutions provider seeking a Plant Engineer to oversee on-site activities during capital project execution, ensuring consistency and adherence to company specifications.
Requirements
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas
- Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies
- Actively manage all on-site (3rd party) personnel activities over the course of Refresco projects
- Ensure safe, timely execution of all tasks
- Coordinate daily and weekly needs, activities of on-site contractors, OEM personnel, and plant personnel
- Monitor and observe activities for efficient and safe behavior with all trades
- Assist with service and utility routing (piping, electrical ladder) and location (machinery & equipment, centerlines) verification as needed
- Document, track, manage, and close out installation- and OEM-related punch list items throughout the install and initial startup
- Ensure compliance with all Refresco specifications and expectations
- Manage all on-site day-to-day activities over the course of project execution
- Communicate to team and external parties daily progress tracking to schedule/project plan, daily (end of day) report, daily punch list update
- Ensure that all designs and activities comply with all applicable codes, regulations and standards; OSHA, NEC, State/local, and other safety guidelines and maintains company drawings and technical records
- Lead all communication with plant personnel and/or stakeholders throughout the execution of the project
- Diagnose machinery or equipment malfunctions using modern testing instruments, supporting plant troubleshooting as needed
- Lead technical resolutions for capital projects, addressing issues during execution or ramp-up
- Prepare close-out documents, including as-built drawings, manuals, and other required materials per the close-out checklist
- Execute small-scale projects by managing budgets, schedules, and engaging contractors and OEM resources as needed
- Assess vendor proposals to ensure compliance with construction requirements
- Negotiate contracts and agreements in coordination with procurement
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety training, audits, and inductions
- Align project schedules and budgets with PMO/PM for efficient execution
- Develop, implement, and sustain the site's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management System, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and continuous improvement practices
- Ensure full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal EHS regulations, including but not limited to OSHA and EPA requirements, through proactive monitoring, audits, and corrective actions
- Manage and maintain all environmental permits, ensuring timely renewals, accurate reporting, and strict adherence to permit conditions and regulatory obligations
