Maintain and lubricate all machinery and safeguard company property. Perform tasks as assigned by Maintenance Team Leader and Plant Manager.
Requirements
- Perform safe and efficient machine and daily procedures.
- Maintain cooling water systems to mills, Bunbury's and other machinery in the plant.
- Inspect and maintain air compressors.
- Ensure all lockout/tagout procedures are being followed properly when working on equipment.
- Maintain a clean work area to reduce safety hazards.
- Remain on call for emergencies.
- Support operators by providing training.
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders and reactive maintenance repair logs.
- Create improvement proposals and execute tasks resulting from improvement proposals.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed.
- Participate in problem analysis, identification of root causes, and suitable permanent solutions.
- Work with outside contractors as needed and ensure they follow the proper sign-in and out procedures.
- Ensure a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is completed when needed by outside contractors.
- Add chemicals to water in pump house as needed.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) worn at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain company safety, housekeeping and environmental standards.
- Apply the RMA 7S for Success standards to work area and all tasks.
- Uphold the RMA Code of Conduct standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team Leader and Plant Manager.
