The Inventory Coordinator role involves tracking, maintaining, and monitoring inventory. The role works closely with Product Specialists and Product Managers to maintain a clean and accurate inventory. The department aims to control costs and facilitate sales through proper planning and execution of a stocking program.
Requirements
- Pro-actively track and manage inbound shipments and bulk railcars
- Enter purchase orders as required to support and cover the appropriate product coordinator
- Update purchase information (dates, weights, railcar information)
- Ensure railcar details exist in the system and provide any missing information.
- Prepare and send inbound notifications to warehouses
- Prepare and send packaging instructions
- Track and monitor open and completed packaging requests
- Monitor railcar aging to minimize detention charges at warehouses and customer locations.
- Review supplier invoices for detention charges
- Receive purchase orders into inventory upon placement at warehouse
- Update batch status upon arrival at warehouse
- Track on hand inventory and monitor aged inventory
- Check for heels and maximum utilization of storage cars
- Provide COO's as necessary
- Process reclassifications of inventory for blending, packaging, corrections, etc.
- Process warehouse and intercompany transactions including triggering to transportation for shipment
- Assist with research and resolution of supplier invoice discrepancies
- Assist with inventory reconciliation
- Provide back- up coverage to Product Coordinator as needed when business conditions require
