Composite Technician IV

R&P Technologies is seeking an experienced Composite Technician IV to fill a full-time position undertaking various tasks related to installing, repairing, and troubleshooting composite lamination and lay up onboard US Navy ships in Pascagoula, MS. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and leadership qualities.

Requirements

• Clearance Required: Secret
• Must have structural and composite background with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience
• Ability to read, understand and follow customer work item requirements, drawings, and wiring diagrams
• Individual must have a keen attention to detail and be quality metric driven
• Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
• Prior experience supervising other personnel
• Demonstrated ability to use power, pneumatic and hand tools
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Appropriate physical condition to work in a heavily industrial shipyard environment
• Willingness to travel to various locations in support of assigned projects
• Flexibility with regards to scheduling and planned support due to changes in shipyard delivery schedules and changes to Critical Path items
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines
• Shipyard competent person certification a plus
• OSHA 10 - Maritime a plus
