Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer - Platform

As a Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you'll define the technical vision and architecture for reliability across Quizlet's platform, leading large-scale initiatives to ensure systems remain fast, secure, and resilient. You'll partner with leadership to shape the evolution of our infrastructure, mentor senior engineers, and embed reliability into everything we build.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure, or systems engineering, including 5+ years in leadership or staff-level roles.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes (GKE), Istio, Terraform, and CI/CD architectures.
• Proven experience scaling systems and building resilient automation for global platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Go and Python; capable of architecting automation frameworks.
• Advanced understanding of observability stacks (Datadog, Jeli) and distributed system performance.
• Track record of influencing technical direction across multiple teams and domains.
• Passion for reliability, performance, and creating systems that 'run themselves.'
